MAZAK OPTONICS CORPORATION established a presence in
the U.S. in 1987 for the marketing, sales, service, and
support of Mazak laser cutting systems in North America.
Originally a joint venture, Yamazaki Mazak Corporation
obtained full control of the operations in 2005. Mazak
Optonics specializes solely in CO2 laser
cutting processes for the metal fabrication, structural
steel, and construction markets.
Our parent company,

(Oguchi, Japan), is now the world's largest
manufacturer of machine tools, including CNC turning
centers, machining centers, and laser cutting systems.
Our company's commitment to technology innovation and
quality has resulted in worldwide manufacture and

For nearly twenty years, we have been at the
forefront of laser technology as the industry began to
accept laser processing as a viable technology. Our
approach has always been one of consultation and
education for our customers to help them apply laser
processing to their advantage and achieve world-class
competitiveness.
The country's largest staff of laser engineers and
support personnel dedicated solely to laser cutting
are located in our Schaumburg, IL National Headquarters
and Technology Center. This resource, combined with our
powerful 2D and 3D laser systems, provides the
availability of both time and application studies for
specific customer parts, which can be proven and
demonstrated in our 27,000 sq. ft. Technology Center. In
addition, the benefits of various stages of automation
are studied and justified in this age of scarce and
costly manpower.
Our training headquarters is also located in the
Schaumburg facility, with classroom sessions
supplemented by "hands-on" experience on the center
floor. Management, operator, programmer, safety, and
distributor training are developed and held here on an
ongoing basis. In addition, utilizing the latest
communications technologies, classes are available
regionally and locally.
 
Our Parts Department, with its large stock of inventory,
is also housed in our headquarters in Schaumburg, IL,
providing a central shipping location to best serve our
customers.
